Title: HE BELONGS WITH ME
Author: Sarah Darlington
Genre: New Adult Contemporary Romance
He Belongs With Me

Synopsis:
Identical twins, Maggie and Clara Ryder, both grew up with Leo Maddox, billionaire playboy, apparent alcoholic, and heir to his grandfather's world-famous Maddox hotel empire. Their roles were cemented long ago: Maggie, as his best friend and Clara as his childhood nemesis.

But when a simple twist of fate changes everything and both girls start to fall for the lean, mean, ridiculously sexy and seemingly spoiled Leo... which girl will win his heart?

Throw in a little mischief, drama, and one smoking-hot bartender and lines are sure to blur. But one thing's for certain, neither good-girl Maggie nor rebellious Clara will be satisfied until they each figure out where they belong.

Review:

How to best describe this book? Hmmm.... it's like a Shakespeare's piece with a little Gossip Girl throw in there. Really, it's more of a romantic comedy novel, so you can help yourself and lough out loud to their antics.

So... the story starts with Maggie Ryder who has recently been dumped by her boyfriend, Andrew Wellington, a guy who has been sleeping around with everything that moves, but Maggie was in love with her so she never observed his man whore moves. But, when this happens, suddenly, her twin sister starts to date him....

Yes... it's high treason and Maggie hates her even more if that can be possible (they had a very... competitive childhood while searching their father's attention since their mother is dead), and she has to prove that she's not desperate, even though she is, so she starts to search a a fake date in a bar, where Anita, a very friendly cougar has said she will find a hot man named Dean who can accompany her to this horrible party. And because, like I already said, she's desperate enough, she does it.

Clara- she's been responsible for her sister's unhappiness since childhood, but that is how sisters are. But, when she finds out what that stupid guy has done to Maggie, she thinks is payback time, so she tries to reveal Andre's true face, but, personally, I think it's the wrong move because their relationship was already bad between the two of them, without more fuel to it, but Clara, doesn't think so, she just tries to make her sister see the truth and maybe reestablish their relationship, because, in spite of everything that happened between them, she loves her more then anything.

But like I said the situation starts to complicate more and Maggie sees just her sister's treason, not her boyfriend and with the help of Dean, an enigmatic hot guy who seems that he can't keep his hands to himself and to make her heart race she confronts her sister to humiliate and put her in her place, but that backfires too, when Maggie finds out that Dean is in reality Robbie, their ex stepbrother, his mother been married for two months with their father. I f that was not enough, Robbie has been her fist crush, her first kiss... until he broke her heart... that was a very amusing scene- how everyone saw it and knew about him, with her exception, but in her defense, Robbie was a very different man than the boy that he was ages ago....

When Clara flees from her confrontation with Maggie, she was on the verge of crying and not triumphant how her sister thinks. So... sad and tired of everything, she steels one of her her father's cart to use as a perfect accessible mode of transportation until a dark figure appears out of nowhere, and she clipped the innocent wanderer right in the ass. I must mention that innocent wanderer is Leo Maddox, a boy that apparently hates her without a good reason.

So like the good person, or maybe like a guilty person she gives him a ride home, and sleeps there hoping to convince him in the morning not to press charges...

But the next day surprises both sisters in very different ways, how they couldn't imagine...

Characters:

I'll start by saying Leo Maddox- he was the grand surprise here, people! I didn't expect him to be in the center of this complicated story, because on his first meeting with the reader, that's me, he was so inebriated that he didn't have the slight idea what happened with the others, but he surprised me big time with his observation skills, even in his state. He's also Maggie's best friend and remains this way through the story. One other reason that made me like him even more is how his hate-love is his relationship with Clara, because let me tell you that between those two sparks are flying everywhere and they became more endearing with every page.

Clara- she's funny, sarcastic, and doesn't let anyone rule her, not even their father so she's picking a fight with anyone, even without her consent, especially with Leo...
But, she loves her family, and in the last years she thinks that she's been replaced by her twin with Leo , her gay friend... and she hates it, so she's trying to make peace with her sister, but  everything complicates even more....

Maggie- she's a serious kind of girl, and even though she wants to be funny, she can't make a joke not to save her life, but she's jealous on her sister's free spirited, who doesn't let anyone try to rule her. She wants to be more like Clara, but, in the same time she's Maggie, the good sister that respects and even makes rules, but with the help of Robbie, on their journey to find her wayward sister and her prisoner, Leo.

Robbie or Dean has been in love with Maggie for a long time but life has get in his way and now he has a secret that can destroy his future relationship with Maggie before it even starts...

Final Verdict- A story about family and how you can forget and find a new beginning in the mist of chaos and mayhem. A story about how even the rich person doesn't have everything....

My rating: 4,5/5

Happy Reading!
